Mass Marriage

Samuh Nikah — open to every Muslim community

A wedding a family can afford, held with dignity — and not restricted to the Memon community.

The cost of a wedding keeps some daughters unmarried for years. The Trust’s mass marriage programme removes that cost entirely: the venue, the ceremony, the meal and the household essentials a new couple needs are all arranged by the Trust.

Two things about it are worth saying clearly. It is held across cities in India, not only in Mumbai. And it is open to all Muslim communities — a family does not have to be Memon to take part.

Ceremonies are held through the year, and the number of couples in each one varies. Families who wish to take part should contact the Trust office well before the date.
