Women Empowerment

A skill, and then an income

Computer training
Computer training

Computer, tailoring, beautician and fashion-design courses — followed by help finding work.

The Trust’s vocational centre teaches women a trade they can earn from at home or in a job — and then helps them find that work. Courses are short, practical and free.

Most of the women who come are widows, divorcees, or wives of men who can no longer work. The point is not a certificate on the wall; it is an income by the end of the year. Placement help continues after the course finishes.
