Who we are

Serving the deprived, one family at a time

Charity is preached by every religion, but the importance of charity in Islam is a beauty to know. A society can flourish only when its members do not spend all their wealth on their own desires, but reserve a portion for relatives, neighbours, the poor and the deprived.

As the saying goes, charity begins at home. The Trust decided to support the poor and deprived sections of the community — and with time the scale of that charity grew. Alhamdulillah, today the Trust runs nine programmes — scholarships, a school, a madrasa for girls, matrimonial services, ration distribution, women empowerment, medical aid, mass marriage and plantation.

Legacy

“Legends are never forgotten — their legacy stays in our hearts forever.”

With great pride and honour, a chowk and a street in Dhoraji have been named after the legendary businessman and cricketer par excellence, Late Mr. Haji Amin Haji Abdul Rehman Gadawala (Janoo Hasan).

It is indeed a moment of great celebration and pride for the entire community, MashaAllah.

Testimonials

What the community says

Words from families and guests who attended our matrimonial get-togethers.

This is truly an amazing and revolutionary step. Though I have been running a matrimonial centre for 30 years, this is beyond imagination — 200 boys and 300 girls coming together face to face in the presence of their parents. If a girl wanted to meet five boys of her choice she was allowed, and the same for the boys. Parents told me we have made their dreams big and their worries small. That is our achievement.

I was one of the participants and I would emphatically say the event was on a scale and grandeur unheard of till date in our community. The personal efforts and parental concern shown by Haji Ehsan Bhai, the family and the volunteers were a stupendous example of gratitude with utmost modesty and great patience. Hats off to Haji Amin Gadawala Trust for such a noble concept.
